Red Hat is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Software engineer for the Agility and Technical solutions team. The team is composed of project managers and engineers supporting all of Product engineering. The intern would be responsible for developing tools that would improve the workflows and efficiency of all members on the team. They should have a strong problem solving mindset to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions and implement them.

Red Hat’s Intern Program is a collaborative effort between the Emerging Talent team and our intern managers. The program is designed to offer a meaningful and well-rounded experience — combining professional development, networking opportunities, social engagement, and impactful work. This is a paid internship based in our Brno office, typically lasting 12 months, with the possibility to extend up to 24 months. Interns work on average 20 hours per week, with flexible working hours, and the expected start date is February 1st.
What you will do:
Developing agents for the team to improve efficiency and speed of delivery
Utilizing scripting languages to improve data gathering and analysis capabilities
Usage of AI tools to make the team more efficient
Implementing improvements in internal tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
Utilizing agile development practices to deliver value quicker
Communicate with stakeholders on the team to gather requirements for improvements
What you will bring:
You must be enrolled in a Czech university (Bachelor’s 3rd/4th year or Master’s) for the full internship duration and be able to work full-time within 2 years.
Working knowledge of written and spoken English
Proficiency in Machine learning and LLM usage
Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, etc.), at least 2 years of experience
Knowledge of database structures and querying languages
Ability to work well in a team environment and handle multiple tasks.
Proficiency in Google workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and project management is a plus
Analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude.
Eagerness to learn and contribute to the success of the team.
