The Role: Salesforce Developer

The Commercial Technology team within Corporate Platforms is responsible for delivering innovative technology solutions that support S&P Global’s commercial operations. As a Salesforce Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing Salesforce solutions that enable our commercial teams to operate efficiently and deliver value to our clients. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to drive growth, enhance customer engagement, and streamline business processes across S&P Global.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy customized Salesforce solutions to meet business requirements
Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
Integrate Salesforce with internal and external systems using APIs and middleware
Maintain and optimize existing Salesforce applications, ensuring scalability and performance
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce functionality and integrations
Ensure compliance with best practices in coding, security, and data management
What We’re Looking For:
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
3+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components)
Strong experience in Salesforce Lightning Flows, Validation Rules, and Data Model design
In-depth knowledge of Salesforce security features and best practices
Proficient in Salesforce configuration, customization, and integration techniques
Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and middleware platforms
Good to have: Experience with Salesforce CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote)
Key Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
