The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Operations Analyst to support Commercial Card Operations. This role is responsible for ensuring data integrity, performing financial reconciliations, and driving operational efficiency across processes.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, demonstrate ownership of deliverables, and effectively collaborate with Corporate Finance, Front Office, and Risk & Control partners. This position requires the ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and control awareness.
Key Responsibilities
• Account Reconciliation & Problem-Solving – Perform financial reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and implement sustainable resolutions.
• Operational Analysis & Data Integrity – Analyze complex financial datasets, troubleshoot variances, and ensure integrity of reporting outputs.
• Process Improvement & Efficiency Initiatives – Support system testing, automation efforts, ad hoc reporting, and procedural documentation to strengthen operational controls.
• Risk, Compliance & Financial Governance – Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and data governance standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement – Partner with Corporate Finance, Front Office, and Risk & Control teams; confidently participate in and lead discussions where appropriate.
• Deadline-Driven Execution – Deliver accurate and timely outputs in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Qualifications
• Reconciliation & Problem-Solving Expertise – Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and execute resolution strategies.
• Project Management & Prioritization – Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining organization and accountability.
• Influential Collaboration – Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive outcomes.
• Financial Industry Knowledge – Familiarity with financial systems, payment processes, and commercial card or loan-related transactions.
• Data Analysis & Research Skills – Ability to extract insights and support operational decision-making through data analysis.
• Attention to Detail – High level of accuracy in processing and validating financial information.
Technical & Systems Proficiency
• Required: Proficiency to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.).
• Preferred: Experience with IntelliMatch, TSYS systems, MasterCard Connect, and IBM Content Navigator.
• Preferred: Experience working with TSYS Greenscreen (TS2 Mainframe) within a commercial credit card environment, including transaction research, navigation, and operational support activities.
Additional Qualifications (Preferred)
• Credit Card Operations & Business Knowledge – Experience or familiarity with commercial credit card operations is a strong plus.
• Credit Card Rebate Processing – Insight or experience with rebate processing is highly desirable.
• Experience working on ad hoc projects to improve operational efficiencies, including system testing, automation, and procedural documentation.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps and Power Query) to support data transformation, reporting enhancements, and process automation initiatives.
• Familiarity with risk, internal control, and financial governance frameworks to support compliance and oversight.
• Ability to perform with proficiency and accuracy in a deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of tasks with minimal supervision.
Education
•Bachelor's degree preferred or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience
The typical base pay range for this role is between $72K - $87K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonuses and/or incentive compensation.
