Summary:

The Compliance Consultant will be responsible for assisting with the management and oversight of our individual annuity and life insurance compliance program.  This role may work closely with senior management, distribution, product, and operations on a variety of projects and issues critical to the Company’s success.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Assist with evaluating suitability of new annuity applications; identify and report on trends
  • Monitor and test certain annuity transactions and business processes
  • Help evaluate, identify, and propose solutions for areas of compliance and fraud risks
  • Assist with privacy monitoring, issue resolution and reporting
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and various initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Variable annuity product knowledge/experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to analyze situations for compliance and business risks, and implement solutions to address and mitigate such risks
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Commitment to customer service and quality
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of insurance laws and other regulations related to the life and annuity business
  • If not a FINRA-registered principal, commitment to obtain within six (6) months from date of hire
