Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Engineering Manager (Front End) in Irving, TX. Multiple openings.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading the team to deliver best in class software experiences for the Digital platform including Mobile, Online Banking and delivery for payment partners along with leading a team of architects, engineers and automation engineers. Specific job duties include the following:
Be responsible for applying knowledge of design patterns, integration, and architecture to develop architecture and integration solutions and lead design discussions.
Lead and provide technical guidance to development team of approximately 50 in-house software engineers and software engineer contractors.
Plan, prioritize and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Be able to lead technical discussion with development leads and guide them on the right approach. Partner with Business line in market research on how other Financial Institutes are making strides in personalization experience.
Ensure all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices, applying knowledge of code governance and quality metrics.
Collaborate with architects and senor engineers to design scalable and robust software solutions.
Review Code, architecture, and technical designs to ensure adherence of best practices and standards.
Focus on embedding software reliability engineering standards into development standards.
Strategize technical solutions to enhance the Online Banking experience and deliver it for Partner customer goals experience.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Ensure product stability, scalability and resiliency for Insights product.
Oversee work performed using the following tools/technologies/skills: Java, Springboot; Front End Technology like React, Javascript, Typescript; Agile software development lifecycle; DevOps principles; Object-Oriented programming and design; Cloud Engineering.
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Computer Information Systems and 5 years of software engineering management experience.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must also have 5 years (60 months) of experience with each of the following: 1) Applying knowledge of design patterns, integration, architecture to develop architecture and integration solutions and leading design discussions. 2) Leading a software engineering/development team. 3) Ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices, applying knowledge of code governance and quality metrics. 4) Performing work using the following tools, technologies and skills: Agile software development lifecycle; DevOps principles; Object-Oriented programming and design; and Cloud Engineering. 5) Development experience using Java, Springboot, and React. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master’s program.
This position is with U.S. Bank National Association, a U.S. Bank company. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $206,190 - $209,440. (#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #DE-DNP).
