Job Summary
Automation Testing Engineer plays critical role by designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can work collaboratively with development teams to identify defects, improve processes, and deliver high-quality products efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
Collaborate with software developers, QA analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and report defects with clear documentation.
Integrate automated tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Identify opportunities to enhance test automation frameworks and increase test coverage.
Perform root cause analysis for test failures and work with developers to resolve issues.
Maintain and update existing test scripts as applications evolve.
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in test automation.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in test automation.
Document testing procedures and results for compliance and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills
Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as, Python, JavaScript.
Strong hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
Good understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
Familiarity with CI/CD environments (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good to Have Skills
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
Familiarity with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (, Azure,).
Experience with security testing and related tools.
Certification in software testing (ISTQB, CSTE, or similar) is a plus.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.
