Job Description

The Senior Data Operations Specialist supports the planogram building process by ensuring all required planogram (POG) data is entered and maintained accurately in hosting systems in accordance with planned projects and events. They are responsible for the organization and flow of departmental and product data. They will serve as the premier source for accurate, timely, relevant, and actionable information and analysis to affect operational decisions and process improvements. Ensures data integrity, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

This position will be based out of our Austin, Texas office.

Responsibilities: 

  • Works in collaboration with Planogram Operations team to prepare data for POG Build projects including selection of POGs to include in project, review of current POG assignments by Store for accuracy and completion, and identification of any additional work to include in the scope of the build (based on POG validations). 

  • Support in auditing and maintaining planogram assignments and dates 

  • Engages with Merchandising Presentation Planners to maintain accuracy of POG assignments within RELEX POG Hierarchy including accuracy of Category/Subcategory codes assigned and their relation to FP map spaces.  

  • Provide Reset Execution dates that should be applied to POGs for Communicated and Effective Dates to surface POGs to Stores via RELEX OTG. 

  • Send tag-batch data aligned with the Merchandise Execution Reset Calendar to ensure consistency and synchronization between the POG updates and the tag data stores receive. 

  • Resolves support questions concerning data input, updating and maintenance. 

  • Addresses data issues within category management systems. 

  • Works closely with team members and partners to understand process-related issues and develop effective solutions. 

  • Mentors less experienced specialists as required. 

 

Skills: 

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and the Microsoft Office suite. 

  • Ability to identify and correct moderately complex data integrity issues. 

  • Ability to prepare moderately complex data and related reports. 

  • Ability to research and solve moderately difficult problems involving data integrity, data reporting and data management systems. 

  • Ability to perform business math. 

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present information and respond to questions effectively in one-on-one interactions, meetings, and group presentations. 

  • Models excellent customer service skills. 

  • Sets work priorities according to pre-determined deadlines. 

  • Applies knowledge and experience to organize and complete assignments. 

  • Solves problems using well-understood methods and technologies, refers complex or sensitive issues to higher levels. 

  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine or moderately complex in nature, recognizing the need for occasional deviation from standard practice. 

  • Follows standard data and situational analysis practices and procedures. 

  • Evaluates and resolves issues using knowledge of what information to collect and where to find it. 

  • Understands the WFM organizational structure, associated hierarchy, and approval levels. 

  • Understands the types and timing of various departmental deadlines and events. 

  • Understands how the specialist role contributes to and facilitates Team Member, team, and business success. 

 

Education & Experience: 

  • High school diploma and 2-4 years’ relevant experience. 

  • Associates degree, technical college or some college course work preferred.
