Join us as our new Technical Sales Manager Europe – Animal co-products upcycling 

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Technical Sales Manager who will strengthen our presence in Europe for our bio-solutions for upcycling animal co-products. The role focuses on two fast-growing industries, collagen and pet food where our products play a critical role in improving functionality, quality and sustainability. An exciting new position where you will get the freedom to operate and create impact by leveraging the world largest portfolio of bio-solutions which includes enzymes, microorganisms and functional proteins.

The ideal candidate has a proven commercial track record in the collagen, gelatine or pet food industry, brings a solid technical background in this application field and understands the market dynamics. This role requires a strategic thinker which combines sales acumen and technical expertise to drive growth and expand our market presence across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Active selling: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company objectives in the animal co-products segment.

  • Technical guidance: Create value for customers by acting as a trusted technical advisor, by leveraging your expertise in animal co-products.

  • Market Expansion: Identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities for collagen and pet food in Europe

  • Client & Account  Management: Building strong relationships with players and throughout the value chain.

  • Market Analysis & value proposition building: Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities and create value propositions which are fitting with the customer needs

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and other internal teams to align strategies and achieve business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Education: University degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Biosciences, or a related field.

  • Technical Experience: in-depth technical knowledge on collagen, gelatine and/or pet food applications.

  • Commercial Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the collagen or pet food market with knowledge of trends and insights.

  • Skills:

    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

    • Ability to leverage the technical knowledge to build trust with customers.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

  • Language: Fluency in English is required.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel as required across Europe for client meetings and industry events.
