Snowflake is looking for a Partner Marketing Director - Cloud & Strategic, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, to lead a high-performing team responsible for driving significant business impact through our partnerships with major cloud providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and 

other strategic partners. This individual will play a key role in shaping and executing the overall partner marketing strategy, delivering integrated campaigns, and building strong partner relationships that support Snowflake’s growth objectives.  

The ideal candidate will be able to think big and creatively, envisioning bold opportunities within the cloud partner ecosystem while also driving execution to deliver tangible results. You must have a bias for action, possess the ability to get cross-functional alignment across teams, and rally internal stakeholders around a shared vision, securing buy-in and support at all levels. As a leader, you’ll balance strategic thinking with operational excellence, ensuring that initiatives are executed efficiently and deliver measurable business outcomes.

This position will collaborate closely with Snowflake alliance leaders, sales and product managers, as well as the marketing teams to create joint go-to-market (GTM) strategies, manage marketing plans, and drive revenue-generating activities through these critical alliances.

AS A PARTNER MARKETING DIRECTOR AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of partner marketing professionals, fostering an environment of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive annual marketing plans with strategic cloud partners (AWS, Microsoft, and others) that align with Snowflake’s business objectives and drive measurable results.
  • Global Collaboration: Work closely with partner teams on a global scale, as well as Snowflake’s internal teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Product Marketing, Global Alliances, and Cross-Functional Marketing teams to execute seamlessly.
  • Partnership Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders at partner organizations (AWS, Microsoft, etc.).
  • Maximizing Marketing Development Funds (MDF): Strategically manage and maximize the value of marketing development funds (MDF), ensuring the efficient use of funds to drive high-impact marketing programs.
  • Campaign Development: Design, execute, and manage integrated marketing campaigns across digital, events, co-branded content, and other channels to promote joint solutions and generate demand.
  • Performance Tracking & Optimization: Establish KPIs and regularly track the performance of marketing initiatives, adjusting strategies and tactics as necessary to optimize outcomes and ensure partner-driven revenue growth.

OUR IDEALS SENIOR PARTNER MARKETING MANAGER WILL HAVE :

  • Experience: 8-10+ years of experience in partner marketing, alliance management, consulting, or business development, with a focus on cloud and/or strategic technology partnerships.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of leading and managing teams to deliver impactful business results, preferably in a high-growth SaaS or cloud technology environment.
  • Cloud Expertise: Deep understanding of the cloud ecosystem, specifically AWS and Microsoft Azure, and experience working with these partners to drive GTM initiatives.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically while executing tactically, with a strong ability to create actionable marketing plans that align with business objectives.
  • Relationship Building: Exceptional relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal teams and external partners at all levels.
  • Bias for Action: A proactive mindset with the ability to act decisively, take initiative, and move projects forward efficiently while bringing people along the journey.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex value propositions and influence stakeholders.
  • Creativity: Ability to think big and re-imagine how Snowflake can deliver value to customers in collaboration with our partner ecosystem.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
