About the department:
The Global Corporate Tax group manages worldwide tax compliance, reporting, and advisory activities for Franklin Resources, Inc. The team partners across finance, accounting, and regional tax functions to ensure accurate filings and strong tax governance. Team members work in a collaborative environment with opportunities to build deep expertise in U.S. federal, state, and international tax while supporting a global financial organization.
Core Responsibilities:
You will prepare U.S. sales and use tax returns.
You will provide data for indirect tax calculations across multiple countries.
You will prepare quarterly sales and use tax information for outsourcing partners.
You will support compliance by reviewing invoices, gathering data, and ensuring timely filings.
You will monitor state tax rates and complete e‑filings before deadlines.
You will respond to sales and use tax audit queries.
You will prepare or review U.S. federal, state, international, UK, and Asia Pacific tax returns.
You will assist with tax accruals, provisions, and special projects.
You will complete additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Experience, Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or tax.
Three to four years of tax or accounting experience, ideally with U.S. corporate and international tax exposure.
Strong understanding of tax accruals, financial statements, and accounting principles.
Technical Skills:
Experience with tax software such as One-Source RS or similar tools.
Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications.
Familiarity with tax and financial systems.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Ability to maintain knowledge of evolving procedures and requirements.
Work Shift Timings - 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM IST
