We are seeking a Senior Windows Systems Administrator with 6+ years of experience to design, secure, and lead enterprise Windows and Azure environments within a financial services organization. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong security and compliance knowledge, advanced automation, and strategic use of AI-driven tools to improve reliability, detection, and response.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and maintain enterprise Windows Server and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Design and Manage Active Directory, Azure AD, and hybrid identity solutions.
  • Lead Microsoft 365 administration, security, and governance
  • Manage VMWare infrastructure including VMs, networking, storage, and backup solutions.
  • Perform patching, vulnerability management, and system hardening initiatives.
  • Familiar and able to implement Zero Trust (cyber security framework) principles, conditional access, and endpoint detection and response (EDR)
  • Drive automation using PowerShell, Python, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI-powered tools for monitoring, incident response, log correlation, and capacity planning.
  • Lead disaster recovery planning, business continuity testing, and system resilience initiatives.
  • Function as a technical escalation point and mentor junior administrators
  • Partner with security, risk, audit, and compliance teams
  • Produce engineering documentation and runbooks and audit-ready evidence documents.
  • Participate in On-Call rotation. 
  • Work in a collaboration work environment
  • Working knowledge of Citrix XenApp and NetScaler Infrastructure 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6+ years of Windows Systems Administration experience
  • Expert knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity management
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure
  • Strong PowerShell and Python automation and scripting skills
  • Experience with SCCM as a patch and software management tool
  • Experience operating in highly regulated financial environments.
  • Strong understanding of security controls, monitoring, and compliance requirements
  • Experience with Microsoft Clustering
  • Experience with AI-assisted security, monitoring, or AIOps platforms
  • Strong written and communication skills

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with SIEM platforms and AI-driven threat detection
  • Experience in a financial, banking, or regulated environment 

The expected base salary ranges from $112k-$140k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
