Why is this role important 

Our Store Colleagues are inspired doers. They help provide a positive in-store shopping experience by ensuring the store is always ready with available products that meet customer needs to live life well.  Our Clerks inspire our customers through delightful conversation and knowledge of products.

Key Responsibilities:

Bakery Duties:

  • Greet and assist customers with bakery product inquiries and purchases.
  • Stock bakery shelves and displays with fresh bread, pastries, cakes, and other items.
  • Maintain proper rotation of products to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving bakery supplies.
  • Ensure all bakery products are properly labeled and visually appealing.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and sanitation.

Deli Duties:

  • Provide excellent customer service in the deli department, including slicing meats, preparing sandwiches, and answering customer questions.
  • Stock deli cases with a variety of meats, cheeses, salads, and other products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including equipment and work surfaces.
  • Handle and prepare special orders for customers as requested.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving deli products.
  • Ensure all deli products are fresh, properly labeled, and meet quality standards.

General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in both the bakery and deli departments.
  • Operate equipment such as slicers, ovens, and mixers safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with merchandising and promotional displays as needed.
  • Handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Follow store policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and sanitation.

Experience you bring

Good news! No previous experience is required. We provide you with training to set you up for success! Previous grocery store experience with be given preference.

  • Flexibility to work a variety of departments and hours which may include days, evenings, and weekends
  • Able to move up to 50lbs and in constant mobility for an entire shift

Hiring Range / Échelle salariale à l’embauche :

$17.40 - $18.65 / 17,40$ - 18,65$ (per hour / de l’heure)
