We have an exciting opportunity for you to become a Lead Automotive Technical Advisor at RAC Auto Services, where you'll serve as an automotive subject matter expert to support our members – Can this be the descriptor?
What’s the role?
As a Lead Automotive Technical Advisor, you will be the go-to expert, providing expert advice, troubleshooting, and guidance to members who need assistance with their vehicles. current and future motoring needs.
Key responsibilities for the Lead Technical Advisor involve offering technical support and guidance to members via phone and email relating to:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service and support. Manage internal relationships for cross collaboration and knowledge sharing across key technical and business functions.
Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies, features, and industry trends to provide the most up-to-date information to customers.
Triage and free fault diagnosis bookings at Auto Service centres
Effectively manage member enquiry channels including telephony, digital and face to face on automotive advice, guidance, or technical assistance.
Proactively creating opportunities and follow ups to convert member enquiries into product and service offers for the achievement of business KPI’s.
Aid members in understanding complex automotive concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Collaborate with the on-site and mobile service team to ensure efficient problem resolution.
Document interactions and provide detailed reports for further analysis.
Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and industry trends.
What are we looking for?
Qualifications and experience within the light vehicle automotive industry;
Solid technical background in automotive repairs and diagnostics.
Proven experience in achieving KPI’s and objectives individually and as part of a team;
Previous exposure and use of relevant packages including MS Word, Excel and automotive related systems;
Customer-centric approach with a strong focus on providing exceptional service;
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision;
Ability to handle multiple customer inquiries simultaneously;
Flexibility to travel between different RAC Auto Services locations as needed.
This is a permanent opportunity working Monday to Friday. RAC adopts a flexible policy including working from a variety of RAC locations.
