Responsibilities
Mechanical Engineer supporting Design Services working with the Magic Kingdom Sustaining Engineering Team. This role performs design modifications and documentation updates required for reliable park operation. Responsibilities include as built measurements, design reviews, hand calculations, creation of engineering drawings, and field installation support. This role is focused on both revising existing drawings / documentation packages and supporting engineering improvement projects.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum (1) years proven experience in design of heavy mechanical equipment such as large conveyance systems, automotive or large robotic systems.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Proven record of strong leadership skills.
• Demonstrated strong partnering skills with stakeholders and customers.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Engineering and Design software such as AutoCad or SolidWorks.
• Demonstrated proficiency in performing classical and/or computer based engineering analysis utilizing hand calculations, FEA software or MathCAD.
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum (5) years proven experience in design of heavy mechanical equipment such as large conveyance systems, automotive or large robotic systems.
Required Education
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
Preferred Education
Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
