RGA is seeking an experienced individual to lead and manage the development and implementation of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework capabilities across the enterprise. Responsible for leading and managing ERM processes including risk assessment and measurement, monitoring and management, and internal and external risk and compliance reporting. Responsible for performing SharePoint content management administration and risk management software system configuration. Responsible for maintaining ERM stakeholder documentation, promoting a risk aware culture, and developing risk-related communication and training.

Principal duties and responsibilities

  • Supports the VP, Head of Global ERM Operations & Reporting with the production and enhancement of Risk Management Information for Board Committee reporting including insurance, market and credit, capital, operational and strategic risks and controls
  • Leads the implementation of globally aligned Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework standards, policies, practices, and software solutions across the organization.
  • Oversee the global risk assessment and reporting process, including the identification, measurement, monitoring, and management of risks. Regularly engages with risk owners globally to challenge and validate risk assessments, and ensure timely escalation and resolution of risk incidents, key risk indicators (KRIs), risk limits, emerging risks, and related issues.
  • Leads and manages global internal and external risk reporting including the coordination with all necessary stakeholders on preparation of comprehensive yet concise reporting for all necessary risk committees, boards, and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Administer and optimize risk management software systems and SharePoint content, ensuring robust configuration and effective information management to support ERM processes.
  • Recommends and develops appropriate and necessary risk communications and training content, proactively communicating, and providing necessary training for all risk and compliance stakeholders and roles and in so doing promotes a risk aware culture.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the organization

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.  Post-graduate or professional qualification in related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise risk management or related risk fields with responsibilities for management

Skills and Abilities

  • Identifies and resolves technical, operational, and organizational problems.
  • Guides, influences, and persuades others either internally in other areas or externally with customers or agencies
  • Ability to make timely and effective decisions.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong software development life cycle skills, specifically business requirements identification and documentation, functional and user test planning and execution, training material content development and delivery, and pre- and post- production planning and coordination.
  • Project management skills. Demonstrates ability to evaluate project objectives and scope feasibility, gain understanding, schedule resources, and manage budget to plan.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, SharePoint, Power BI and PowerPoint

Compensation Range:

$104,350.00 - $155,350.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
