Job Summary

The Senior Director of Sales Skill Strategy is a new leadership role inside the Sales Effectiveness COE and is responsible for driving enhanced Sales Skills within our residential Sales channels. This role and the overall Skills Strategy team will play an integral part in institutionalizing a ‘Cycle of Readiness’ that spans Knowledge, Skills and Rewards around the projects and priorities that matter most for our teams that sell to new and existing customers.

The top candidate will lead a team focused on Sales Skill development across the overall employee journey with a discrete focus on three distinct windows - supporting new hire, improving ramp and driving excellence for incumbents in role. Projects will be governed by the company POR and the voice of our internal customers. Delivery and impact will come through a combination of direct delivery to Channel/Division teams and through deep partnership and integration with ULearn content and learning platforms. All work should be data driven and scalable across the employee journey in the organization.

Leadership of this new team requires a blend of strategic thinking, creative vision, and partnership skills to drive impactful initiatives that differentiate the organization in the market. The position and the team are new to the organization and innovation is encouraged, but the team will have accountability for general Sales Skill development, including but not limited to a focus on onboarding productivity, targeted KPI improvement, improved competitive and converged sales positioning, and an overall focus on Sales Excellence.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop, articulate and gain support for a clear vision for a Sales Skill Strategy framework that blends skills enhancement across an entire employee journey, along with more tactical skill enhancement around specific initiatives. 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Divisions/Channels, Sales Enablement, and ULearn to ensure Sales Skill priorities and strategies are integrated and aligned with broader business objectives.
  • Production of Content: Standardization of Sales Skill specific content and utilization across the organization – in whole or in piece parts – to create consistency in Skills development journey, independent of a ‘learning’ entry point.
  • Innovation and Ideation: Drive continuous innovation in content and program strategy by identifying emerging trends, technologies, and best practices. Foster a culture of creativity and experimentation within the team to explore new content formats, platforms, and distribution channels.
  • Audience Insights: Utilize data-driven insights and audience research to inform content strategy decisions. Understand audience behaviors, preferences, and pain points to create content that resonates with target demographics and drives desired outcomes.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to a team of Skills strategists and business experts. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation, learning, and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in frontline sales, frontline sales leadership, or a related role, with a focus on innovation and strategic leadership.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business goals into actionable content strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Deep understanding of Comcast’s knowledge and skill ecosystems, as well as the tools leveraged by frontline leaders to coach on performance
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for exploring new ideas, technologies, and trends in content marketing and storytelling.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Compensation

National Pay Range: $112,751.63 USD-$264,261.63 USD

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
