OVERVIEW:
This remote position requires extensive travel within the surrounding districts (Nashville and Memphis) to support our stores and teammates.
The Regional HR Generalist plays a key role in providing comprehensive HR support to the field. This includes driving the effective execution of HR processes including associate relations, talent management, performance management and associate engagement. Provides coaching and guidance to district, store management and associates to recommend solutions to business issues.
Associate Relations
Coach management team to ensure all associates exhibit proper behaviors to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Investigate employee complaints, resolve associate conflicts and advise management as needed on appropriate disciplinary actions. Conduct associate feedback meetings as needed to address issues and provide feedback needed when store management issues arise. Authorized to make final decisions in regard to associate disciplinary matters up to and including dismissal. Works with the Legal Department and the Regional HR Manager in responding to all formal charges, lawsuits, etc.
Partner with leadership to help communicate changes affecting Benefits, Associate Relations, Payroll or other processes. Periodically participate in store visits with District Managers and Store Management Teams. Build relationships with Store Management and associates by establishing relationships as a resource as needed. Provide leadership in the execution of organizational initiatives impacting stores. Respond to stores' needs as a resource for labor, workplace violence or other issues in partnership with the Regional HR Manager and other SSC resources to assess issue and determine steps needed for positive resolution. Serve as a resource to Store Management and associates regarding questions relating to policies and practices including benefits, compensation, unemployment, workers compensation, leaves of absences, etc. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws relating to final pay, meals and breaks, etc.
Conducts training/coaching sessions for management on HR topics including harassment, policy and procedures, performance management and talent acquisition and development
Talent Management
Assist in the development of Individual Development Plans for Managers and Leads. Works with the Regional HR Team to manage development of the Sales Manager bench. This includes assessing high potential leads and assisting management with the development and placement process.
