Job Description:
This job is responsible for planning and coordinating the execution of project/small program deliverables which requires the engagement of multiple teams. Key responsibilities include communicating work objectives, coordinating delivery, facilitating sync points across teams, providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables, and managing program risk and compliance to standards. Job expectations include ensuring delivery meets the client’s expectations in terms of the functionality, quality, timeline, and cost.

This is a Delivery Lead position in Bank of America’s Desktop organization. The Delivery Lead is responsible for technology deliverables and integration points. They must be strong at anticipating and quickly resolving technology challenges in advance and are accountable for resolving blockers for the agile team (as a key partner in the planning and sprint process), by actively leading triages. They will coordinate and onboard all technical partners and serves as stand-in Change Manager, when needed, and effectively understand the feature costs by owning dispatch process in order to maintain accurate estimates. The Delivery Leads are accountable for execution and integration with all enterprise standards for project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads and coordinates routines to support delivery (for example, kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates, etc.)
  • Manages coordination of delivery and dependencies across multiple teams
  • Facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline
  • Provides status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks, issues, and schedule
  • Works with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements
  • Supports resource planning for delivery and execution
  • Ensures adherence with Enterprise Change Management standards

Required Qualifications:

  • This position will work with a team responsible for coordinating all aspects of for major technology deployments/releases as well work within the confines of the bank’s Change Management requirements (commonly referred to internally as MRA2). 
  • Has technical background or experience to understand the various types of changes we make to Production, such as code deployments, database or script updates, middleware changes, etc.
  • Liaison to our agile development teams, and to the various production support organizations that we work with to make production changes.
  • Coordinates day-to-day lower level migrations (dev  SIT).
  • Ensures our production change tickets (CRQs) are properly constructed – representing all of the hardware/software items being changed, as well as having tasks that represent the work needed from each supporting group (DBAs, traffic routing, etc.).
  • Manages the ticketing process that accompanies each CRQ – details out exactly which components and the target environments.
  • Plans our major quarterly releases – works across teams to build a schedule of tasks. Communicates status throughout the process.
  • Hosts implementation bridge line/Webex for our major releases – which involves off-hours work.
  • Has experience with source code management and deployment tools such as Bitbucket, Ansible, XLR, etc.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a business analyst role in agile environment. Ability to effectively manage project delivery and collaborate with various technology partners and agile teams.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 4 year experience in related field.
  • Experience in working on multiple projects at the same time
  • Good time management skills; ability to set priorities, adapt to team needs and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively at different levels within the organization.
  • Previous success working in a dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Fluent in technology and strong knowledge of project and software development methodologies / techniques. Solid presentation, facilitation, interview, and workshop skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, adaptation and conflict-management skills. Intermediate Word.
  • Intermediate Excel.
