Position Summary:

In this role, you will perform general accounting duties related but not limited to the full payable cycle, posting cash receipts, updating and following up with customers on outstanding invoices.

Reports To:   VP of Finance

Essential Functions:

Position requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Matching, coding, inputting and filing A/P invoices
  • Processing cheque runs, generating payments and resolving any issues with vendors
  • Contact customers daily on outstanding receivable invoices
  • Post payments received in ERP system and reconcile cash receipts versus invoice amount
  • Update invoices and supporting documents as needed via customer portals
  • Update and maintain customer master files
  • Generate accounts receivable related reports and update spreadsheets
  • Performing a variety of accounting month-end activities
  • Other duties, as assigned

Education and/or Experience:                                                 

  • Related post-secondary diploma in Accounting/Business
  • A minimum of two (2) years accounting experience


Communication Skills:                                                

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation


Computer Skills:                                              

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate excel skills required)
  • Working knowledge of JDE a definite asset

Other Qualifications:    

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
