About you and this role

In the APAC Polyurethanes marketing team, we have an opening for a China & Chinese OEM (COEM) Market Development and Marketing Manager, leading segments for APAC.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading, developing, supporting, and driving the marketing strategy and growth, fostering innovation for China and COEM as the Market Development Manager, and being accountable for market segments as a Marketer for APAC.

This role requires strategic leadership, a passion for growth, change management, the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment, and advanced communication skills capable of engaging with internal and external stakeholders to represent the region both regionally and globally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement short and long-term marketing plans, including market assessments, strategies, and implementation plans for China and COEM, as well as applicable segments

  • Lead the Marketing Management Team (MMT) for growth, covering strategy, market plan, customer and product expansion, new business models, resource prioritization, market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and marketing campaigns

  • Lead cross-functionally with Sales, TS&D and Product to initiate, develop, and drive the innovation pipeline by governing Stage Gate Processes with tools like PD-Trak, and increase the quality of the opportunity pipelines

  • Provide commercialization and launch support for new technologies, including the development and execution of launch plans, support materials, and training for sales

  • Drive prioritization and implementation of marketing communications, and support the coordination of external events in the region or segment

  • Define major customers, brand owners, or strategic vendors to partner with for growth and support the implementation of growth initiatives

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in commercial or technical, commercial or technical experience in Polyurethanes would be a plus

  • Marketing and business development experience in China and at COEM

  • Bachelor degree is a must

  • Excellent strategic thinking, critical thinking, analytical skills and customer/value chain engagement techniques

  • Strong stakeholder management across all levels among variety of the functions in the organization

  • Language: Chinese(native) and English (advanced) both in verbal and written
