<title>About the role</title>

We are looking for an analytical and solutions-driven Strategy and Operations Manager with exceptional leadership, financial modeling & strategic thinking skills to manage and optimize operations in Romania.

You will work closely with other Operations Specialists, Operations Managers, the General Manager, and HQ teams to drive business growth, optimize financial performance across all parts of the balance sheet, and enhance revenue through achieving operational milestones and key metrics.

<title>Main tasks and responsibilities:</title>

  • <point> Improving operations: Scaling and improving country operations by reviewing current and defining new workflows. Overseeing merchant's operations, onboarding and content quality. Solving problems including but not limiting to pricing optimization, fraud decrease, refund optimization, and timely delivery to bring savings and drive orders growth. </point>

  • <point> Financial Analysis & Modeling: Providing advanced financial analysis and modeling across all parts of the balance sheet, including assets, liabilities, equity, revenue, and expenses. Developing and implementing financial models to simulate the impact of different strategies on the company’s financial performance. Automating and standardizing processes to decrease operational costs and improve efficiency. </point>

  • <point> Strategic Planning & Decision-Making: Supporting the General Manager by providing data-driven insights and financial models to guide complex financial decisions. Identifying and recommending strategies to optimize financial performance, focusing on a balanced approach that considers both growth and cost management.</point>

  • <point> Owning and Delivering Key Operational Metrics: Ensuring the achievement of country targets through operational excellence and overall performance. Proactively reporting progress and KPIs in a timely manner. </point>

  • <point> Managing the team and stakeholder relations: Managing the merchant operations team in the market and coordinating with other departments and third-party providers to enhance operational efficiency. Fostering a strong collaboration within local teams, the central team and external partners, to ensure seamless project delivery and achievement of KPIs. </point>

  • <point> Project Management: Identifying and resolving the most challenging issues for country operations by working closely with other teams. Managing local projects to ensure alignment with the General Management's strategy. </point>

  • <point> You have several years of experience in operations, consultancy, business development, or analytics, with exposure to financial modeling, strategic planning, and team management.</point>

  • <point> You are a strategic thinker with advanced data analysis and financial modeling skills. You are adept at solving complex problems and analyzing large datasets to drive business insights.</point>

  • <point> You are a self-starter who proactively finds solutions to business challenges and takes ownership of projects from start to finish.</point>

  • <point> You are able to work optimally in a matrix environment driving cross-functional collaboration with excellent organizational and project management skills.</point>

  • <point> You have excellent communication skills in both Romanian and English. </point>
