Summary: As a Software Development Engineer, your typical day will involve analyzing, designing, coding, and testing various components of application code across multiple clients. You will engage in maintenance and enhancement tasks, ensuring that the software meets the evolving needs of users while adhering to best practices in software development. Collaboration with team members and stakeholders will be essential as you work to deliver high-quality solutions that align with project goals and timelines. Roles & Responsibilities: - Managing a SW engineering team focused on software development, testing, and integration. The manager will lead the effort to refine software PoCs, ensuring they meet performance, safety, regulatory, and quality standards required for automotive production. - They will work closely with hardware engineers, product managers, and other departments to align software with vehicle systems and ensure scalability, reliability, and compliance with automotive industry requirements. - The role also involves defining software development roadmaps, optimizing the transition from prototype to production, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring the timely delivery of software solutions. The -Manager will drive best practices for software development, validation, and deployment, with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and the ultimate success of the product in a mass-production environment. Professional & Technical Skills: - Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide and mentor a diverse team of engineers. - In-depth knowledge of automotive industry standards (ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, ASPICE, etc.) and regulatory requirements. - Familiarity with safety-critical software development for automotive systems. - Experience applying Agile principles and practices to software development. - Passion for driving technological innovation in automotive software solutions. - Familiarity with automotive-specific development tools, simulation environments, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 9-12 years of experience in Automotive ECU Software. - This position is based at our Hyderabad office. - A 15 years full time education is required. - Relevant experience Proficient in embedded software development for automotive applications (C, C++, MATLAB, etc.)
