The Role
The Iron Technician II is responsible for assembling and testing a variety of mechanical components, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Assisting senior Iron Technicians during the disassembly and inspection of flow control components
Cleaning, stripping, and inspecting all required flow control components to prepare for gauging, ultrasonic, and magnetic article (MPI) inspections
Assembling and disassembling flow control products following Stand Operating Procedures (SOP)
Identifying and differentiating between SPM and customer-specific products
Support Nondestructive Testing (NDT) activities to evaluate the integrity of materials and components
Operating and demonstrating proficiency with computer skills for the SPM AMP System
Conducting high-pressure hydrostatic testing on flow control products
Preforming inventory management and accurately track customer products
Inspecting, documenting, and organizing incoming iron inventory
Performing all duties of an Iron Technician I and other routine duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
At least 1-3 years of related experience in a warehouse, retail, manufacturing, outside environments, etc. and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or hands-on approach to troubleshooting and operating machinery, including the ability to identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently

At least 3 years of experience working with pressure pumps, flow controls, iron equipment, etc.

Located onsite in Williston, ND
Monday-Friday: 6:00 – 5:00 PM. Overtime as required

Summary Pay Range:
$23.40 - $31.40Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
