What will you do? 

• Develop and lead implementation of global category procurement strategies for assigned Indirect Procurement categories.

• Lead supplier procurement activities, ensuring timely execution and focusing on global solutions that improve services and reduce costs.

• Facilitate supplier procurement process and negotiations, maximizing Johnson Controls’ leverage.

• Lead supplier contracting negotiations and execution, collaborating with corporate legal for risk-related terms.

• Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to enhance engagement and develop a robust procurement pipeline.

• Drive collaborative procurement efforts with necessary cross-functional counterparts to maximize efficiency and mitigate risks.

• Drive cost-out targets for the supply management organization; calculate and report savings.

How will you do it? 

• Engage with stakeholders through effective communication to align procurement strategies with their needs.

• Implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.

• Leverage technology and data analytics to inform decision-making.

• Monitor market trends and industry standards for cost savings and service improvements.

What are we looking for?  

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related area is required.

• Advanced degree in business, finance, and/or legal is highly desirable.

• +5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• Significant negotiating experience is required.

• Operational and procurement experience.

• Prior contracting experience (negotiation, implementation, management of agreements) is required.

• Fluency to speak and write in English.
