Job Summary: A Senior UX Designer II leads the design strategy for a business or product line. She/he is an expert user of a number of design tools. She/he is a mentor for the business and leads the presentation of design to stakeholders. Actively mentors and informally leads cross-functional team members.
Responsibilities:
Customer (or User) Focus
• Has a solid understanding of customer use cases.
• Rallies the cross functional team around customer needs.
• Advocates for customers with the agile team and helps inspire the team to want to know more.
• Creates processes that are good at discovering customer needs and product design options.
• Aligns team and coaches the team to ensure customer needs are met.

• Draws out ideas from others; encourages others to contribute new ideas, including external stakeholders.
• Takes on board others' ideas and provides recognition for them, and empowers others to work on their own ideas.
• Works to help teach others problem solving skills.
Product Design
• Actively mentors and informally leads cross-functional team members throughout the product design process.
• Ensure users are considered at every phase of the product development process.
• Promotes design best practice amongst the technology/product organization.
• Mastery of interaction design skills, attention to detail, and ability to cluster ideas to provide incremental value.
Data Driven Analysis & Testing
• Identifies gaps where data is needed and works with business to fill them.
• Summarises data from analytics packages, customer insight or other sources to understand context of research work.
• Proactively uses data to establish key metrics for projects.
• Regularly tests design work with users in partnership with UX Research team.
• Iterates work based on testing and data analysis.
• Uses data to inform testing future strategy.
Technical Skills
• Has an excellent knowledge of the tech stack of the organisation.
• Uses design software (Figma, Axure, Sketch, Invsion) to expert level.
• Mentors junior designers in technical skills.
• Builds good working relationships with tech teams.
• Produces designs across all platforms.
