The Opportunity

The RFP and Due Diligence Specialist will lead efforts and processes related to requests for proposals (RFPs), due diligence, and reference requests. Provide effective proposals in support of the Growth division. Partner with internal management, Growth division teams, and Product groups to develop and execute sales proposals. The role will also serve as a highly collaborative team member with the ability to write effectively and network across the enterprise to acquire information for the RFP process. The individual will fulfill requests from credit unions, banks, and consultants when requested to provide complete due diligence packets.

Day in the Life

  • Develops highly-effective proposals in response to credit union and bank RFPs. Create, format, and produce customized attachments and follow-up information in responses; applies Velera product knowledge to drafting, editing, and refining responses.

  • Leads and coordinates RFP/Proposal process; duties include, but are not limited to, creating initial draft, responding to questions/concerns, modifying document as needed, and delivering final proposal by deadline.

  • Assesses and proactively adjusts the RFP process to ensure proposals adhere to standard methodologies and support all client needs.

  • Coordinates proposals and communications activities with sales and regional relationship teams; leads efforts to storyboard the value Velera brings to the industry and delivers the message across a diversified platform of media.

  • Provides client references as requested, considering multiple factors as necessary, e.g., core provider, similar asset or membership size, prior processor, etc.

  • Gathers feedback on each submitted proposal to assess reactions, strengths, and opportunities for improvement; demonstrates winning proposals to build outstanding control positions.

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to continually improve the accuracy, impact, and relevance of proposal content.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with external consultants and internal subject matter experts at Velera to best facilitate the RFP process.

  • Understands and incorporates sales strategy, value propositions, and messaging concepts and conveys that information through proposal responses.

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders (Growth Division, Product, and RFP Consultants) to source content and effectively translate information into highly effective proposals.

  • Coordinates RFP database of standard questions and answers used in proposals; partners with line of business leadership to continually refine and improve warehoused responses based on the current suite of products and solutions.

  • Gathers all material from internal business units to provide a full due diligence packet when requested.

  • Delivers all due diligence material to credit unions, banks, and consultants as requested by the desired due date.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Five (5) years of experience within the credit/debit card processing environment or financial services industry required.

  • Three (3) years of direct experience in professional business-to-business writing or RFP proposals required.

  • Extensive professional knowledge and experience in the bankcard, banks, and credit union industry (credit card, debit card, merchant activity, electronic banking, etc.) required, with a network of clients and customer base within the industry preferred.

Pay Equity

$67,700.00 - $86,300.00

Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
