Position Overview: As the Director of Compensation and Benefits, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and managing our compensation and benefits programs to attract, retain, and motivate top talent across our organization. Reporting directly to the Head of Talent, you will work mostly in an individual capacity, or lead a small team, for designing and administering competitive compensation packages and comprehensive benefits programs that align with our business objectives and support our diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive compensation and benefits strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives and culture. These include:
  • Regular analysis of market trends, industry benchmarks, and best practices to ensure our compensation by job family stays competitive
  • Evaluation of benefits programs across all major markets that we operate in, to remain competitive and compliant with relevant regulations.

Compensation Management:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of all compensation programs, including base salary structures, variable pay plans, equity incentives, other long-term incentives, sales commissions, GM bonus plans, and recognition programs.
  • Partner with finance and senior leadership to develop annual and mid-year compensation budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and the talent team on compensation-related matters, including job evaluations, salary adjustments, and promotions.

Benefits Administration:

  • Oversee the management and administration of employee benefits programs, including health and welfare plans, retirement savings plans, and other employee benefits.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to benefits offerings to ensure they meet the needs of our employees and remain competitive in the market.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and brokers to negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and optimize the delivery of benefits services.

Compliance and Governance:

  • Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to compensation, benefits, and payroll administration.
  • Ensure all compensation and benefits programs comply with legal requirements and internal policies, including data privacy regulations and reporting obligations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures related to compensation and benefits administration.

Qualifications:

  • Post graduate degree/diploma in management
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits management, preferably in the technology or SaaS industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and administering competitive compensation programs, including variable pay, equity incentives, and recognition initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits administration, including health and welfare plans, retirement savings programs, and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with global compensation and benefits practices, particularly in India and the US, is highly desirable.
  • Proven leadership experience, including the ability to build and motivate teams, drive results, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
