The Opportunity:

  • Located in King George, VA; within CACI’s C5I work area, you will have the opportunity to support NSWCDD and the U.S. Navy’s Aegis and Aegis BMD programs. Supporting tasks include computer program requirement reviews, root cause analysis, test procedure design, data analysis tool development, and more.



Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will be responsible for providing software development and system engineering support to the Operational Readiness and Test System (ORTS) program.  Specifically, the candidate will design, code, test, and evaluate ORTS program and functions for our Navy customer. 

  • Candidate will gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs and review Computer Program Change Requests, Software Change Requests, Software Specifications, Requirements Documents, and Design Documents. 

  • Candidate will create and maintain test plans, procedures, and other related software documentation and will design and implement well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices. 

  • Candidate will be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and modifying existing applications and functions as required and will provide support during installation and configuration of ORTS programs.

  • Assist in resolving identified issues within ORTS.

  • Assist in development of Analysis Cases used to thoroughly analyze ORTS performance on a system functionality basis.

  • Travel to various test sites to support ORTS testing.

Your assignments are directed by the project’s Technical Lead or Point of Contact (POC).  Under the direction of the POC, and 

  • As a member of our team, you will be able to:

  • Candidate will conceptualize, design, develop, test, deliver and support Java and C++ software corrections and enhancements in a large complex real time deterministic combat system. 

  • Candidate will assess and root cause reported computer program problems, develop and recommend solutions, and deliver analysis reports. 

  • Candidate will provide engineering support during Change Review Board meetings to adjudicate ORTS-related trouble reports to identify Priority, Likelihood of Occurrence, Risk Assessment, and Certification Impact. 

  • Candidate will provide support during installation and configuration of ORTS applications. 

  • Candidate will provide status at internal and customer meetings.



Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering discipline

  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating System (OS), Microsoft (MS) Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Edge/Internet Explorer)

  • Java and C++ experience

  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and with team members

  • Candidate must have ability to attain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$58,000 - 115,900 USD
