Team and Role Overview

Platforms & Data Services, (PDS) are a key strength and differentiator for Citi TTS and a key driver of our client experience. Over the years, Citi has been leading innovation in transaction banking space by developing best-in-class digital capabilities for our clients across both traditional and new age industry segments.

Digital Platforms and Data Product Manager is responsible for commercializing digital onboarding capabilities in Hong Kong supporting client onboarding across TTS business lines as part of the execution of global digital strategy, which includes the transformation of the operating and engagement model through delivery of self-service and digitized capabilities. We work in a cross functional model to facilitate the Hong Kong commercialization with a consistent experience across all markets, both in-region and globally.

The digitization efforts currently underway aim to provide a simplified and digitized onboarding and bank account management experience to drive increased client satisfaction and reduce cycle times for client requests.

This role is expected to drive consistency and progress across key areas as part of the overall Digital Transformation goals across Digital Platforms, Onboarding, and Billing for Hong Kong through proactive client and frontline engagement and commercialization of PDS digital product suites and various onboarding initiatives. The role will work in a fast-paced global environment with close partnership with cluster and global product teams and stakeholders from Sales, Product, Relationship, Technology, Operations, Service, Legal, Risk and Compliance functions, as well as global support teams.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the launch, end-to-end commercialization and execution of strategic product roadmap across full suite of digital client onboarding capabilities. This will include the management of current Digital Client Onboarding capabilities and re-imagining the future state of Digital Client Onboarding through a multi-year strategic roadmap.
  • Execute cluster strategies and initiatives for innovative product commercialization and deployment, with focus on Hong Kong clients.
  • Responsible for product commercialization including client co-creation, evolving market and technology trends, assessing competitive landscape and collating competitor intelligence.
  • Cover end-to-end client onboarding journey from client KYC, account opening, platform / product onboarding, pricing and billing setup, and account management and services.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of the Digital Client Onboarding platforms and capabilities and onboarding client experience.
  • Deliver digital client value propositions and competitive differentiation to achieve the status of preferred banking partner to our clients.
  • Be a client advocate and collate client feedback in product design process to ensure excellent user experience for utilizing PDS capabilities and products.
  • Represent PDS to complete timely regulatory reporting for PDS components with partnership with risk and control, legal and compliance, operations teams etc.
  • Partner with client services and onboarding operations teams to perform service reviews, resolve client issues, address exceptional requests to ensure etc.
  • Support the organization and plan for PDS client events in Hong Kong.
  • Champion client and competitor market research, drive product innovation, enhance product roadmap to deliver an advanced set of client centric solutions.
  • Appropriately assess risk in business, product delivery and management decisions. Abide by Citi’s core philosophy on risk management and mitigation ensuring adherence to controls and governance.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience working in transaction banking, FinTech ecosystem, product management/Technology
  • Cross functional experience (e.g. digital platforms, payments, core banking, product design, data, technology and client management)
  • Demonstrated experience in driving business innovations, leveraging management information, and data analytics to drive results for the business
  • Demonstrated knowledge of product management and commercialization, business acumen and client centricity
  • Strong team collaborations and resilience in handling multiple tasks in parallel
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Demonstrated efficient problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and influencing skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Fluency in English and Chinese, Mandarin preferred
