Overview:
Join our team as a Panel Assembly Technician, where you'll play a key role in building high-quality commercial air handling units. This hands-on position involves assembling and insulating panels, doors, walls, and drain pans with precision and care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret specification sheets to identify correct parts for assembly.
  • Assemble panels and components according to detailed specifications.
  • Install windows, hardware, and other purchased parts into assemblies.
  • Apply insulation to panels as outlined in documentation.
  • Label panels with part numbers, COM#, and team ID for tracking.
  • Organize and transport panels using designated carts and forklifts.
  • Complete required documentation including production logs and deviation reports.
  • Disassemble and correct improperly assembled or damaged panels.
  • Operate tools such as rivet guns, air guns, knives, and handheld spot welders.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions or incidents.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience: No formal education required; one month of related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and understand basic instructions and communicate effectively in small group settings.
  • Math Skills: Basic math proficiency including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Reasoning Ability: Capable of following written and verbal instructions and solving routine problems.
  • Certifications: Forklift license required (can be obtained within 3 months of hire).
  • Computer Skills: No computer skills required.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to moderate noise levels and airborne particles.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands and arms.
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
