At Saxo Bank we are looking for an experienced senior developer to join our Enterprise Data Warehousing team. We are currently working on a new data warehouse to make our analytical capabilities scale with our increasing data volumes and reporting demands.

You will join the Platform and Frameworks team in our Copenhagen office which is responsible for building and maintaining our cloud based Datawarehouse platform. The team is also responsible for developing frameworks to enable our data onboarding teams to deliver analytics uses cases via the Data Vault methodology as efficiently as possible.

Responsibilities

You will assist the team with our current primary focus of ensuring that we have a robust and scalable orchestration platform on Airflow to handle the many use cases. In addition to that, you will:

• Develop and maintain infrastructure and data pipelines for our new Cloud Data Warehouse using Snowflake (storage and data processing) and Airflow (orchestration). 

• Participate in design discussions regarding platform enhancements and new features. 

• Support data onboarding teams to use the platform effectively.  

• Develop, maintain, and enhance our DevOps pipelines (on Azure DevOps platform using Terraform, Bash, PowerShell, etc.). 

• Learn and explore new technologies to support new feature requirements on the platform. 

Your profile

To be successful in your role, we expect that you:

• Have +5 years of experience with data warehousing and/or data engineering. 

• Have extensive experience in developing and maintaining Airflow applications for large scale data platforms. 

• Have strong expertise in Python. 

• Have experience with containerized workloads (we work with Docker and Kubernetes). 

• Always design and build solutions with platform stability, resiliency, and security in mind. 

• Are a team player and able to effectively communicate with peers and stakeholders. 

Nice to have skills: 

• Working experience with a cloud platform (preferably Azure) 

• Experience with C# programming. 

• Knowledge of deploying and managing Airflow in a containerized environment.  

• Knowledge of Data Vault modelling.

• Previous experience working in the financial industry.
