The Portfolio Marketing Manager will lead the development and implementation of a crop protection product portfolio strategy for the Canadian market. This role involves creating a five-year forecast and financial plan, delivering annual marketing strategies, and financial plans. Additionally, the Portfolio Marketing Manager will represent the portfolio in the Innovation Management process, collaborating with Regional and Global stakeholders to support product development prioritization and launch planning in Canada. The incumbent will provide strategic guidance to Local Product Concept Teams, ensuring cross-functional alignment and implementation plans to achieve Corteva’s growth objectives and manage product lifecycles.

As a member of the Crop Protection Marketing Team, the successful candidate will collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Accounts, Supply Chain, Integrated Field Science, Regulatory, and Global Business Development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish, refine, and lead the implementation of the 5-year Technology Portfolio strategy for Canada, achieving financial and market share targets by category.
• Champion the growth, renewal, and innovation of the portfolio within the business.
• Develop and align the portfolio and business 1-year OTG & OTD business targets with the CP Marketing Leader and Regional Leadership.
• Lead the development and execution of the Canadian downstream seed treatment long-term strategy and annual implementation plan.
• Provide demand forecasts with clear assumptions for the Integrated Business Planning process (Current Year+2) and long-term planning (CY+3 to CY+5).
• Collaborate with the CP Integrated Business Planning Manager to ensure alignment of volume and financial forecasts.
• Support Local Product Concept Teams in business case development to ensure investment in regional innovation.
• Lead the development of Innovation Launch Plans (CY+5 to CY+2) and support the Commercial Launch Specialist (CY+2 to CY-2) to maximize effectiveness and deliver business case commitments.
• Connect with global product managers, Program Managers, and R&D to support strategy, business case development, and detailed project plans.
• Collaborate with other Portfolio Marketing Managers to ensure alignment of portfolio plans across the Canadian business.
• Work with Sales Teams to effectively build and execute portfolio strategy, customer and channel partner strategy, and achieve Sales Area objectives.

Education

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in agriculture or marketing. 

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or a related position.

Additional info & preferences

• This position will work across western Canada. 
• Preferred location is Calgary, Alberta
• Depending on location, travel can be up to 30%, including overnight travel.
