The TransUnion Event Marketing team develops event strategies for live and virtual experiences that positively impact brand awareness and customer loyalty and deliver against business priorities. We bring our brand to life, driving awareness, and delivering relevant content. We create opportunities to acquire new leads and foster customer relationships. We leverage data to highlight the impact and value of events to make smarter decisions on event investments, and we drive operational efficiency and consistency with end-to-end event execution.

The Manager, Diversified Markets Events, is responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and performance management of our Diversified Markets events, which span across multiple business verticals and solutions. These events consist of proprietary customer summits, customer advisory boards, and B2B tradeshows of varying scale. The role will be responsible for managing some events of their own, and managing a team of direct reports who support the portfolio of events. This individual should have a passion for creating impactful and engaging experiences through events, with a fundamental understanding of how to leverage events to drive growth for the business and use event data to inform future event investments. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Global Event Marketing.

What You'll Bring:

  • Lead the strategic planning, execution, and performance management of a portfolio of events (proprietary customer summits, customer advisory boards, B2B tradeshows)
  • Manage a team of direct reports (hire, manage, coach) and supplier partners in strategic planning, creative development, and end-to-end execution of events
  • Build and lead a plan for specific events, managing end-to-end event execution, including venue sourcing, contracting, event logistics (F&B, hotels, venues, transportation, branding), event production (staging, A/V), event attendee communications, etc.
  • Plan, forecast, and manage against a defined event budget, and partner with finance and accounting on budget reporting and reconciliation.
  • Bachelors’ degree in event management/hospitality, marketing, communications, or a related field.

We’d Love to See:

  • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience executing events and managing teams
  • Experience with hiring, coaching, and mentoring employees, practicing strong leadership and people management skills
  • Solid executive presence with the ability to tailor communications accordingly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, problem solve, manage multiple projects/events at one time, and consistently meet deadlines
  • Cvent experience and other event technologies a plus

    Impact You'll Make:

    • Ability to travel up to 15-20% of the time, potentially once a month for 2-3 days each.
    • Act as a strategic partner to the business on where and how event investments should be made, considering key industry events where our customers/prospects may be, our event objectives, and event performance/ROI data.

    This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
