Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Service Specialist- Network & Wireless Technologies! This position can be located in Midland (MI, USA), Houston (TX, USA), Mumbai (India), or Sao Paulo (Brazil). Using expanded conceptual and practical knowledge, has accountability for design, transition, and/or operations of wireless network services. For design, responsible for the design of integrated, workable solutions that meet stakeholder requirements and address capability gaps. For transition, the responsible for the delivery and implementation of new services and service changes. For operations, responsible for a high-level of client satisfaction, run-the-business IT operations, SLAs, service operations, and operational service improvements. Responsible for maximizing adoption and value of services for the intended audience.
Responsibilities
- With moderate guidance, manages the service balancing customer requirements with affordability, corporate and business strategy, industry trends and available technology.
- Begins to build a network of trusted relationships with service stakeholders.
- Assesses value, document business/value case, and help prioritize investments based on expected impact and value delivery.
- Evaluates and begins to develop new services as needed to meet business requirements, and defines service deployment strategy by geos and stakeholders.
- Selects and defines supplier and team support models, and collaborates with vendors to define service metrics to ensure end to end continuity of service performance.
- Collaborates with Strategic Sourcing to develop and implement service support contracts.
- Evaluates risks with Information Security to ensure Dow’s safety and security.
- Maintains service offering descriptions and material to support adoption, and drives adoption with stakeholders and targeted client audiences.
- Works with vendor partners to ensure service quality, timeliness of deliverables, responsiveness to client requests, and accuracy of status and metric information.
- Participates in continuous improvement efforts, and meets or exceeds client satisfaction goals and SLAs.
- Drives Event, Incident and Problem Management efforts for the affected services.
- Maintains service configuration, asset, and knowledge management.
- Assists Sr. Service Leader and Service Manager with workload analysis for team to ensure proper resource alignment for capacity planning as well as with financial management by managing service volumes and unit costs.
- Works with stakeholders to understand and enable MA&D activities, as needed.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in IT preferred or a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience or relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- For U.S. Applicants: A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Skills:
- Information Technology Infrastructure- Experience in managing IT infrastructure services or experience in a client facing role.
- Network Infrastructure Architecture- Demonstrated experience with emerging network technologies, such as SD-WAN, Cisco network equipment, and Cloud security solutions such as Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA).
- Wireless Networks- Proven experience designing, implementing and supporting Wireless, Satellite and Cellular (4G/5G) solutions.
- Project Management- Proven experience working on major programs and/or projects.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library- ITIL v4 certification or demonstrated knowledge of framework and practices.
