Job Responsibilities
The HR Specialist is responsible for identifying and assisting in solving HR-related opportunities, ensuring adherence to Employee Health, on-boarding and recruitment.. Through cross-functional HR collaboration, this role provides essential, professional-level HR support and customer service to our HR team, employees, candidates, and our clinics. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can act independently and work on a variety of tasks with individuals across the organization while staying organized and focusing on results.
On-Boarding Support
Responsible for managing the onboarding process for job candidates and new employees to ensure a smooth transition into Crossover
Manages the on-boarding program for job candidates and new hires
Proactively communicates with job candidates and new employees to ensure all pre-hire and day activities are complete on time
Communicates with internal stakeholders pertaining to delays or barriers in pre-hire or Day 1 starts
Cross functionally partners with with hiring managers, HR, and other departments to ensure a cohesive onboarding experience
Continuously improve onboarding processes based on feedback and best practices
Conduct orientation sessions to introduce new hires to the company’s mission, values, policies, and procedures
Coordinate with IT to set up email accounts and system access
Use data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Performs other duties as assigned
Employee Health Support
Focuses on promoting and supporting the health and well-being of employees within Crossover
Support communication of health and safety policies and procedures
Provide education and training to employees on health and wellness topics, such as nutrition, exercise, stress management, and disease prevention
Provides EH administrative and practical support
Manages the administrative and technical pre-hire vaccination declination process
Supports the Employee Health department as necessary
Performs other duties as assigned
New Hire Experience Support
Prepares offer letters in conjunction with hiring managers and recruiters
Assists in Workday Recruiting module implementation
Supports the recruiting team in maintaining data in our applicant tracking system (Workday)
Generates recruitment scorecard, metrics and analytics
Provides support to our recruiting team throughout the onboarding process; including, coordinating start dates, and ensuring all documents are complete prior to start.
Upload and organize training content, including courses, modules, videos, and assessments
Creates and maintains employee files for accuracy and completeness. Prepares and updates employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and other employment actions.
Provide technical support to LMS users, addressing issues and troubleshooting problems
Assists with ad-hoc HR projects.
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR or related business field.
2 years of professional level experience in HR Recruiting, EH&S, On-Boarding or related field
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on a fast-paced, high volume HR team
Understanding of HR functions and best practices
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems and/or HRIS platforms
Experience with a Mac and Gmail suite of applications
Physical Job Requirements
Regularly required to be independently mobile
Regularly required to interact with a computer and communicate with peers and co-workers
