Job Purpose
It is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsible to manage Change Development team for automated solutions under FINSAP. These solutions are implemented on Finance Services Automation platform, in technologies such as Appian, Aspose, Knime, Python, Tableau, Oracle. Strategies, implement and monitor right delivery techniques, approach, and tools in collaboration with the wider technology and business senior leadership to ensure the developments are delivered in time and with quality.

Responsibility of building team capable of delivering high quality application. This is a global role, but majority of the team will be based in India.

Able to work independently and manage and motivate the team and possess good communication skills. Has experience in working on complex and medium to large projects, navigate complex organization structure, managing senior stakeholders in the business and technology globally.

Responsibilities:

  • The position is based in Mumbai or Pune, India and is required to review the day-to-day delivery of the development JIRAs, ensuring adherence of delivery timelines, processes and quality. This role will report to the EUC Development Global Lead.
  • Responsible for complete governance, setting up of the process and tools and ensure projects are following the Citi process and best practices.
  • Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals.
  • Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results.
  • Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
  • Requires good analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources.
  • Responsible for understanding new platform feature releases and planning the retrofitting of the existing programs to capture these features.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues.
  • Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources.
  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Must Have Skills

  • 18+ Years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years of experience within the financial services as development or BAU manager.
  • Experience in leading and managing large global development teams of 50+ people.
  • Strong Experience of interacting with globally diversified stakeholder spread over many international locations and time-zones (APAC, EMEA and NAM)
  • Experience of working in Investment Banking, Capital Markets or Retail Banking
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Good hands-on experience on agile based project deliveries
  • Good understanding of database concepts 
  • Strong knowledge of Jira and EXCEL. 
  • Experience on projects using workflow and low code tools.
  • Collaborative by nature, builds partnerships across the firm.
  • Able to demonstrate an expertise in identifying and resolving prioritization issues.
  • Organized and prepared to manage multiple parallel pieces of work
  • Creative and innovative, brings different angles to problems and provides new solutions
  • Working knowledge of industry practices and standards in project deliveries
  • Candidate should be willing to work extended hours in order to interact with global partners/teams or as per project demand.
