Position Summary
Performs a variety of research activities with a focus on specimen collection, processing, sample management and routine duties in support of clinical research to ensure quality and adherence to protocols.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work in the lab includes preparation of supplies needed for blood and airway sample collection, receiving, logging, processing (including manual cell counting, cell staining and generation of cytospin slides) of samples, sample storage/management, and shipping of samples.
- Maintains and updates logs, forms and study files as appropriate and in timely manner; prepares reports from logs as requested.
- Other responsibilities may include collection and analysis of environmental data to complement clinical study time points.
- Routinely collects data and specimens from research participants under clinical research protocols.
- Assists clinical research team with assigned tasks.
- Attends routine meetings and other meetings related to the clinical research; stays abreast of information and any changes to study protocol
- Communicates and coordinates with other study personnel as required to ensure subject visits, specimen collection, and data are completed following all protocols in place. Routine problem resolution.
- Other duties incidental to work in the laboratory space, including supply management.

Salary Range
$17.34 - $25.40 / Hourly
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
