The Opportunity

• ​Empathetic Mentorship & Support: Act as a dedicated mentor to your team. Provide hands-on support and guidance when team members face technical bottlenecks or high-pressure project phases.

• ​Constructive Project Review: Conduct supportive reviews of designs and project revisions. Use these reviews as coaching opportunities to enhance the team’s technical skills and project ownership.

• ​Process Automation & Digitalization: Utilize Programming/Coding skills (e.g., Python, VBA, or C#) to automate repetitive design tasks and improve engineering efficiency.

• ​ERP & Lifecycle Management: Manage engineering data and workflows through SAP and PTC Windchill, ensuring seamless integration between design and manufacturing.

• ​Operational Excellence (SQD): Lead by example to ensure all engineering outputs meet the highest standards of Safety, Quality, and On-Time Delivery.

• ​Design & Analysis Oversight: Oversee 3D modeling in PTC Creo, 2D documentation in AutoCAD, and Mechanical Simulations (FEA) to validate product reliability.

• ​Customer-Centric Problem Solving: Act as a technical advisor and shield for the team when navigating demanding customer specifications, finding win-win solutions.

• Managers are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; a degree in Mechatronics Engineering is considered a plus.

• Minimum of 10 years in mechanical design, specifically within the transformer or heavy industrial sector.

• Advanced proficiency in PTC Creo and AutoCAD is mandatory.​Solid knowledge of Simulation/FEA tools (e.g., Ansys, Creo Simulate).

• ​Experience with SAP (ERP) for engineering and production workflows.​Programming/Coding skills (e.g., Python, VBA, or similar) for engineering automation.​Professional experience with PTC Windchill (PLM) and Microsoft Office.

• ​Excellent command of English (written and verbal).
