As Inventory Manager, you will be at the heart of our finished goods distribution strategy and customer satisfaction. Your key role will be to oversee the team of inventory coordinators responsible for replenishing finished products between our plants and distribution centers across Canada.

You will work closely with other department managers (Procurement, Logistics, Transportation), as well as with our manufacturing sites, distribution centers, and customer service team. You will be responsible for implementing operational distribution strategies to ensure that finished products are available at the right place at the right time.

In addition, you will play a key role in the implementation and maintenance of best practices within an ERP system environment, aiming to maximize customer service levels while minimizing the overall operational costs of Agropur’s plants and peripheral warehouses. You will also be in charge of establishing performance monitoring and governance for key performance indicators.

  • Salary range 006: 95 900$ to 119 900$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)

What’s involved in this role:

  • Responsible for supervising the team that ensures the availability of finished products (DRP) across our various storage sites and plants;

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to finished goods inventory in the fresh network (inventory days, safety stock, product loss) and take corrective actions to improve them;

  • Continuously improve distribution planning processes, methodologies, and systems by leveraging advanced analytics software, automation, and planning tools to ensure the right finished products are available at the right time;

  • Work closely with leaders from various departments—production planning, distribution centers, logistics, and customer service—to define distribution strategies based on volume fluctuations and align the team accordingly;

  • Communicate forecasted finished goods flow volumes and resulting strategies to partners (distribution centers, logistics), taking constraints into account;

  • Act as an ambassador and deploy the cooperative’s continuous improvement methodology;

  • Lead, engage, and develop a high-performing team of inventory coordinators, ensuring effective resource allocation, training, and skill development to meet departmental goals and objectives.

What you need to join our team: 

• Bachelor in logistics, operations management, supply chain, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory or logistics management in a manufacturing environment, as well as in team management
• Proficiency in inventory management systems, SAP, Excel, and Power BI
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English (English is required to work with colleagues from other Canadian provinces)
• Good understanding of warehouse space optimization principles, inventory and logistics flow management, KPIs, and operational costs
• Occasional travel to sites under their responsibility
