Team/Role Overview:

The Human Resources (HR) Business Partner is responsible for the delivery of day-to-day HR support in coordination with the global Human Resources team. The overall objective of this role is to provide a broad range of HR services to client groups within Citi, with a primary focus on Wealth Operations.

The Incumbent will join Citi's HR Partnership & Delivery (HRP&D) organization and will be a culture carrier to our managers by fostering a culture that champions collaboration and excellence.

What you'll do:

  • Deliver HR services and build capabilities to drive organizational performance through individuals and managers, as well as possess the mindset to increase process effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Responsible for HR delivery and implementation across the employee lifecycle.

  • Partner with business managers to resolve Employee Relations (ER) issues, ensuring appropriate actions are taken and risks are assessed.

  • Partner with Human Resource Advisors (HRAs), HR Delivery Partner and HR Disciplines on HR priorities in respective client populations to ensure delivery and implementation of HR solutions and processes.

  • Ensure escalated client/employee issues are resolved with urgency, and employment policies and practices are interpreted consistently.

  • Work with relevant stakeholders in HRP&D including manager, employee, Employee Relations (ER), Legal, as well as build and maintain partnerships to foster trust and accountability.

  • Coordinate and ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of global priorities and life cycle processes.

  • Resolve moderately complex HR issues conferring with managers when necessary.

  • Assist progressively larger or more complex employee populations and participate on cross-Citi projects.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert to managers and employees

What we'll need from you:

  • At least 5-6 years of relevant experience.

  • Previous experience in a similar role (HRBP) preferred.

  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills.

  • Working knowledge of HR functions

  • Working knowledge of applicable employment laws

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Workday

  • Demonstrated analytical skills.

  • Experience gained in large, complex financial institutions preferred.

  • Fluent English

  • Additional language would be an advantage (Polish, French, Spanish, Hungarian, Italian)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
