Position Summary

As the distribution center Operations Supervisor on 1st shift, you will be responsible for leading a team of non-exempt employees in CVS Health’s Knoxville distribution facility. This includes planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and supervising the daily activities of an assigned shift and functional area to achieve performance goals and metrics within the distribution center. Additionally, your responsibilities will include order selection, replenishment, loading, and shipping of store orders. As the distribution center Operations Supervisor, you are also responsible for directing workflow for warehouse employees and leading their team to meet and exceed daily targets. They also manages day to day work operations and evaluates work performance.

 

** Availability to work 1st Shift, On-site at Knoxville, TN from Monday-Friday starting 6:00 AM with some additional flexibility, is required**

Primary Responsibilities

  • Hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and assigning work to new hires.
  • Ensuring employees have the necessary equipment, materials, and documents to ensure successful completion of tasks.
  • Monitoring and adjusting resources to achieve the daily production and delivery goals
  • Balancing workloads by taking readings throughout the day to achieve the appropriate level of volume by the projected time of completion.
  • Monitoring the work performance of each employee to ensure that quality and quantity expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Conducting staff meetings and verifying that daily worksheets are completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis.
  • Providing ongoing training and retraining of employees to ensure that they are prepared to meet or exceed the productivity standards for their function; Put People First and set colleagues up for success.
  • Utilizing a variety or reports, summaries, and procedures to project workload and resolve problems that arise during the workday.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels; Join Forces with peers and leadership across both shifts.
  • Analyzing information effectively to make sound business decisions.
  • Rise to the Challenge daily and build high-performance teams while engaging and inspiring colleagues.
  • Work overtime and/or occasional small weekend shifts as needed.
  • Ability to stand and walk around for most of the shift.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a manufacturing or distribution center environment.
  • 1+ years in a lead, supervisory, or managerial role
  • Availability to work 1st shift, starting at 6:00AM

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years in a manufacturing or distribution center environment
  • 2+ years in a supervisory role OR 1+ years in a supervisory or lead role in a manufacturing or distribution center environment

Education

  • Verifiable High School diploma or GED

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,888.00 - $76,500.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
