The Director of Learning & Innovation Lab at DICK'S Sporting Goods will lead the company’s new Learning & Innovation Lab, overseeing the development and execution of leadership experiences across all levels of the organization. The Learning & Innovation Lab will be designed to function as an experimental hub for DICK'S Sporting Goods' Learning and Development function. This team’s primary purpose is to cultivate leadership capabilities across all levels, from early career programs to executive coaching, while fostering a culture where learning itself is a vital skill. The team approaches learning as a scientific experiment, continuously testing, refining, and evolving methods and technologies to drive innovation in leadership development and organizational learning. The Director will leverage modern learning technologies and methods to drive a culture of learning and teaching within the organization.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Launch and lead the Learning & Innovation Lab, setting the strategic direction for leadership development across the organization.

  • Manage a team responsible for leadership development programs at all levels, including early career development and senior leadership experiences.

  • Partner with business leaders to identify leadership development needs and design tailored solutions including the creation and facilitation of DSG's executive coaching program.

  • Utilize modern learning technologies and solutions to enhance the effectiveness and reach of leadership programs. Ensure the measurement and analysis of learning effectiveness, using data to drive continuous improvement in leadership development initiatives.

  • Foster innovation and continuous learning within the Learning & Development team, collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand learning needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals, and stay current with industry trends and best practices in leadership development and learning technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree

  • IO Psychology, Organizational Development, Behavioral Science or similar

  • A minimum of 10-15 of work experience in a corporate setting

  • 5-10 years managing a team with both direct and indirect reports

  • 10+ years of deep leadership development experience

  • Extensive experience in the design and facilitation of leadership development programs.

  • Proven track record in managing and leading a team of learning and development professionals.

  • Experience with executive coaching and senior leadership development.

  • Strong background in utilizing modern learning technologies and solutions.

  • Knowledge of best practices in leadership development and adult learning theories.

  • Experience in analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of learning programs.

  • Familiarity with early career development programs and strategies.

  • Passion for leadership development and a commitment to fostering leadership excellence.

  • Collaborative and inclusive, valuing diverse perspectives and ideas.

  • Adaptable and flexible, able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Continuous improvement mindset, always seeking ways to enhance learning experiences.

Targeted Pay Range: $114,300.00 - $190,500.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
