Job Summary

Field-based supervisory position responsible for increased levels of revenue attainment and resolution of unbilled exception management by assisting Manager of Patient Administration. The primary responsibility is coaching Coordinators of Patient Administration and assisting in analysis and implementation of process and procedures.

Essential Functions

  • 50% Organized field travel to coach and train CoPAs within the district
  • 30% Post Acute Care facility management
  • 20% Office based analysis and reporting
  • Assist MoPA with external interviews of candidates for open positions.
  • Regularly conduct scheduled field visits for coaching and training purposes: Provide verbal and written follow-up and observation reports that highlight and address the COPAs’ strengths and areas of improvement or development. Will spend at least 4 days per week in the field.
  • Support MoPA by providing analysis of data and processes including: Payer metrics and utilization within individual portfolios, expense utilization by CoPA, TOC metrics and utilization of all systems in Power BI and Salesforce to determine proper usage and adequate adoption of resources.
  • Managing the processes of Post Acute Facilities within the district to coach CoPAs on how to educate and follow procedures to increase our revenue production of these facilities.
  • Support the CoPA leads by providing feedback on issues related to daily activities that may need input and feedback from internal teams, such as National Accounts, Reauthorization/Reorder, and Reimbursement.
  • Verification and submission of JIRA escalation for the district.
  • Organizing and sending notifications to the district for projects and procedures that will help to reduce zero revenue claims for the organization.
  • Develop and master a full working knowledge of all 3rd party payor requirements
  • Achieve and maintain acceptable performance metrics
  • Comply with Standard Operating Procedures, particularly HIPAA
  • Collaborate with Manager of Patient Administration to identify and coach to areas of opportunity for COPA and Sr. COPA
  • Work with MoPA to onboard new CoPAs on day-to-day operations and processes.
  • Provide support to Leadership and team during transitional periods, including covering vacant districts.
  • Foster a team environment within the area; lead by example, motivate, inspire team
  • Additional duties as assigned by management


Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Healthcare/Medical Device (Clinical or Billing) experience preferred.

  • A high sense of urgency and flexibility to one’s schedule
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Problem solving mentality, while being accountable for each task from beginning to end.
  • Proficient working knowledge of MS Office (including Power BI, Excel, Word, Outlook) & Customer Relationship Management systems (Salesforce.com, Dynamics) is preferred.
  • Effective team player who is also capable of working independently with strong self-motivation.
