What will you do?
Project Management: Lead development projects from planning to execution, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. Examples include layout changes, construction or expansion projects, and effective supply warehouse initiatives, with clear activity reporting and timelines.
Process Design: Design, implement, and validate manufacturing processes in sequenced operations, leveraging plant redesigns for technological adaptations and automation plans, considering current manual processes.
Analysis and Improvement: Analyze efficiency and productivity data to identify bottlenecks and improvement areas, applying methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues in manufacturing processes and equipment using tools like 8D, 5Why’s, and A3.
Collaboration and Support: Work closely with product development teams to ensure manufacturability of designs and provide technical support to production lines.
Product Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement new products from conceptual drawings or red pen sketches to prototype manufacturing and initial production runs.
Production Optimization and Management: Oversee production to ensure efficiency and quality, monitor engineering changes, new product launches, and provide management-level reporting.
Coordination and Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, marketing, sales) and suppliers to meet specifications, supervise processes, and ensure personnel safety and regulatory compliance.
How will you do it?
Apply continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
Utilize CAD tools for design and validation.
Implement advanced technologies (automation, robotics) in manufacturing processes.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage timelines using project management tools.
Perform data-driven analysis for strategic decision-making.
Document activities and results in clear, structured reports.
What are we looking for?
Required:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, or related fields.
Proficiency in CAD tools.
Knowledge of automation, robotics, and emerging technologies.
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, both in English and Spanish.
Analytical mindset and ability to solve complex problems.
Background in process design and product development.
Experience implementing technology in manufacturing environments.
Preferred: Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Project Management (PMP).
