Shop Technician - HAC

Reports to:

Field Service Manager

Location:

Summary of the position:

Diagnose, repair, or rebuild compressors, engines, accessory drives, oil and water pumps and other related equipment. The candidate will need to be a mechanically inclined, motivated, and dependable individual.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, test, and perform repairs including complete overhauls on equipment to get it ready for service in the field.

  • Order parts for repairs and machine some parts to correct specifications. Consult with field staff and assist in diagnosing needed repairs

  • Maintain work area and equipment in clean, safe condition

  • Job responsibilities may be altered by the Field Service Manager as customer and/or company requirements change.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Associate degree a plus

  • Technical Trade School a plus

Professional experience:

  • Compressor preventative maintenance experience preferred

  • Experience with rotary screw Oil Free Compressors a plus

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be able to engage and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Strong grasp of Microsoft office required

  • Ability to read and understand schematics

  • Ability to work independently or on a team
