Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst will be key in designing, developing, and implementing our internal reporting capabilities. This role should be able to understand business requirements, design optimal and efficient business requirement documents, develop canned and ad-hoc reports. This position will support our new enterprise data analysis solution stack, including ETL development, warehouse modeling and development, structured and unstructured data, report generation and key performance indicator dashboards to support the business. The Senior Business Analyst will also be engaged in a full range of activities from leading small to mid-size projects to assisting business leaders on larger more complex projects related to their unique operational needs.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal and external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies
  • Manage automation of reports from Access to SSRS by creating stored procedures, scheduling SQL agent jobs, designing reports in SSRS, and deploying to report server
  • Collaborate closely with operations team to make sure business meets CMS requirements and standards and participate in CMS audits where applicable
  • Provide project level analysis and SME in yearly AEP process
  • Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones and managing/maintaining customer relationships
  • Support system conversions, upgrades and enhancements
  • Collaborate with IT Data Warehouse team to make sure reporting needs/requirements are captured and built as part of Data Warehouse for accurate reporting.
  • Support Market Prominence Enrollment/Billing, Invidasys - Claims, Finance and UM business by gathering reporting requirements, create business required documents and develop SSRS reports and dashboards including ad-hoc reports.
  • Develop data mapping documentation to establish relationships between source and target tables
  • Generate complex reports for CMS audits and actively participate in pre and post audit reporting requirements for CMS.
  • Complete in-depth analyses for business-optimization projects, integration, reporting and analytical tools and involve in thorough unit testing of complex data and front-end reports.
  • Collaborate with internal business customers, gather report specifications, defined key performance metrics, and created business requirement documents.
  • Participate in development and validation of enterprise data warehouse and create reports from data warehouse.
  • Support Market Prominence business and IT application needs as required to optimize MP with internal stakeholders and our off shore business partner.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Ability to work across product teams to harmonize and consolidate data.
  • Prior experience with Invidasys, Market Prominence, Facets/RIMS or a rules-based system a plus
  • Expertise in tools like Power BI, Excel, Tableau, Jira, SQL
  • Understand data models and their relationship to reporting
  • Must have experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business
  • Data analysis – Must have proficiency with SQL and Microsoft Office suites
  • Ability to support projects and recommend/implement process for project completion
  • Ability to interact with business users to identify reporting and data analysis needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Alternatively, 5 + years work experience in information technology will be considered.
  • Medicare experience desirable.
  • Proficient in SQL
