About Us - Human Resources

  • The Human Resources team consists of over twenty-five employees and serves over 4,000 Freeman Family members 

  • We provide services in Compensation, Recruitment, Timekeeping, Benefits, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Compliance, and Workers Compensation

  • Experience desirable schedules, Monday-Friday with no weekends or holidays

What You'll Do

The Compensation Representative is responsible for reconciliation of timekeeping activities and is a liaison between Freeman Health employees, management, and payroll. This position ensures compliance of all policies and regulations to include but not limited to clerical functions, tracking and reporting, and other activities to prepare payroll.

Responsibilities:

  • Will ensure employees timecards/wages are compliant with Freeman Health Systems’ policies state and federal regulatory activities, including but not limited to Department of Labor and all applicable regulations.

  • Process assigned staffs timecards accurately, consistently and in a timely manner.

  • Accurately track and report attendance, trends, and other concerns for assigned departments and communicate with appropriate leaders and HR staff in a timely manner.

  • Instruct staff and leaders of proper use of time clocks and Timecard Alert forms as it applies to Freeman policies.

  • Completes payments and tracking for milestone, preceptor, sign-on and other applicable payment programs.

  • Acts as a resource for scheduling related questions, training, and profile maintenance.

  • Assist employees and leaders with compensation related questions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to comprehend principles, laws, restrictions, etc. related to employee compensation and to apply the knowledge to the Health System and employees.

  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize workload.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working for payroll, timekeeper, or healthcare setting, organizations.

  • Preferred experience utilizing Workday.

Education:

  • High School education or equivalent
