Summary: F5 Expert - The L2 Security Engineer needs to have specialization in firewall management and load balancer administration. Candidate should have experience with Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate) and be capable of supporting either F5 load balancers or Palo Alto firewalls. The role involves monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting security infrastructure to ensure uptime, performance, and compliance with defined security standards. Roles & Responsibilities: - Provide L2 operational support for firewall and load balancer infrastructure.? - Administer and troubleshoot Fortinet FortiGate firewalls including security policies, NAT, VPNs, and threat protection.? - Manage and support F5 load balancers or Palo Alto firewalls, including configuration changes and routine maintenance.? - Monitor device health, logs, and alerts; escalate to L3 when required.? - Assist in policy reviews, rule cleanup, and compliance activities.? - VIP Creation and Certicate Renewals in F5.? - Support change management processes, including preparation and implementation of approved changes.? - Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, incidents, and standard operating procedures. Professional & Technical Skills: - 3–9 years of hands-on experience in firewall and load balancer operations.? - Strong understanding of firewall technologies (e.g., Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto).? - Skilled with F5 load balancer administration? - Understanding of security protocols (IPSec, SSL, NAT, VPNs, IDS/IPS).? - Familiarity with log analysis and security monitoring tools.? - Exposure to ITSM tools for ticket and change tracking.
