Salesforce Professional Services is looking for multiple Technical Architect - Public Sector positions at various levels. As a Technical Architect, you will be serving as a strategic advisor and Salesforce product and platform expert to the company’s largest, most complex enterprise customers. 
 

Your Impact

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the client

  • Identify and lead internal critical initiatives to grow the consulting practice; serving as an active contributor to the community’s overall knowledge base and expertise

  • Guide customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies that drive increased business value

  • Work collaboratively, having very strong communications skills, especially in teaching complex concepts and creative, prescriptive thinking

  • Identify and proactively manage risk areas and commit to seeing an issue through to complete resolution

  • Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party partners

  • Review and correct project/program direction, approach, and key artifacts to keep programs on track, while ensuring solutions are extendable and maintainable going forward

  • Work closely with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and directly with clients to architect technology solutions to meet client needs

  • Contribute to a program vision while advising and articulating program/project strategies on enabling technologies including the Salesforce Platform
     

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years enterprise architecture or consulting experience

  • Strong application design skills combined with strong data, integration, and security architecture skills

  • Strong presentation skills. Able to effectively present and defend a point of view to a variety of audiences

  • Detailed individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience

  • A great listener with the ability to connect with people in diverse roles

  • Validated ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration

  • Resourceful and innovative thinker who can work through and solve problems

  • Qualification for this job is contingent upon acceptable results from a background investigation


Qualification for this job is contingent upon acceptable results from a background investigation as well as your obtaining and maintaining the specific level of U.S. Government security clearance that may be required for this role. U.S. citizenship (U.S. born or naturalized) required.
 

Preferred Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent proven experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core proficiencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)

  • Prior work experience or desire to work with our Public Sector customers - government agencies, non-profit, education

  • Ability to convey and convince customers of standard methodologies at various levels within a large organization

  • Application design and development background

  • Travel may be required up to 50% of the time and varies depending on the client requirements

  • Strong Enterprise Architecture background would be favorable

  • Relevant Salesforce experience is desired

  • Highly beneficial to have any Salesforce product certifications prior to joining, particularly:

    • Salesforce Certified Administrator

    • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator

    • Platform App Builder

    • Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant

    • Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant

  • Hands-on experience with Public Sector Solutions (PSS) and Omni Studio

For our FEDERAL AND STATE customers:

  • Familiarity with working in a Salesforce Gov Cloud 

  • Knowledge of FedRamp, JAB (Joint Authorization Board) or Federal security processes

  • Experience with software applications for: licensing, permitting, inspections, grants management, loan management, emergency program management, content center engagement, constituent interactions, 508 compliant applications


For our EDUCATION customers:

  • Ability to work with university IT teams, provosts, and leadership through technical and strategic aspects of digital transformations

  • Experience with Org strategy, Master Data Management (MDM), data governance and integration of education IT systems (i.e. LMS, SIS)

  • Familiarity with EDA architecture, TDTM, and/or Salesforce Certified Education Cloud Consultant certification


For our NONPROFIT customers:

  • Experience large data volumes in Salesforce along with data warehousing and analytics for nonprofits

  • Familiarity with NPSP architecture, TDTM, and/or Salesforce Certified Nonprofit Cloud Consultant certification

For Colorado-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $114,200 to $221,000.

For Washington D.C based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $125,700 to $243,100.

For Maryland based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $125,700 to $243,100.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
