About the Role

• Deliver financial analyses on IFRS balance sheet / income statement / disclosure notes, and EV analysis of movement, including integrated financial analyses across multiple financial metrics.

• Deliver technical initiatives related to IFRS and EV

• Support the result announcement process and provide insightful analyses to support management’s decision making.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Financial analyses – IFRS and EV

  • Consolidate, review and analyze the Group’s IFRS 9 & 17 balance sheet, income statement and disclosure notes.
  • Embedded value reporting key financial analyses including sensitivities.
  • Integrated financial analyses across IFRS and EV reporting with enhanced analytics for better understanding of key drivers impacting multiple reporting bases
  • Provide support to local business units and proactively work with local business units on actuarial reporting related matters.

Technical initiatives related to IFRS and EV

  • Drive technical initiatives related to actuarial reporting covering the methodology review and assessment of implications on external disclosures
  • Support business units to deliver local IFRS 17 adoption
  • Support the initiatives to enhance IFRS and EV analytics and automate core processes to cut manual work

Results announcement

  • Provide support to the Group’s external financial result announcement process.
  • Collect, interpret and review financial information and data
  • Produce financial reports related to quarterly results announcement

Analyze and summarize financial and operational information to support and drive business forward

  • Support development of financial information models and database
  • Coordinate logistics and prepare materials for management meetings and presentations
  • Support Investor Relation and other group functions and management team to address stakeholder’s queries on reported results.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Degree/Master holder in actuarial science
  • Qualified Actuary
  • Strong understanding of insurance business and reporting (IFRS and EV)
  • Experience with publicly traded company is preferred
  • Team player, driven, self-motivated, flexible and enjoy challenges
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, graphic) and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
